ENT

Today we saw the Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist for Tyler. They have suggested taking his adenoids and tonsils out, so I guess will do that and see if it makes a difference. He said it usually takes about 6 weeks to get booked in for that. I am hoping it works to have it done while I am on my 3 week holiday for Christmas! Tyler is pretty nervous about it, but it will be fine by the times comes, I am sure.

    Niagara Falls and Dinosaurs

Trevor and I were able to go to Ontario for the weekend last week. We went for Travis and Jessie's wedding in Hamilton. It is so close to Niagara Falls, so we decided we would go and spend the day there on Friday. We took a Greyhound Bus for like $10, which was totally worth it. Ontario is so different from Alberta. It feels a bit like the Okanagan with all of the greenery and the nice weather. We had a really nice trip. The wedding was beautiful. They had it outdoors, and we partied until late into the night! It was fun to see Travis and Jessie again. Trevor misses Travis like crazy!

We have never travelled without Tyler before. It was a little hard, but everyone had a good time. We thought it would be a good idea to Face Time with him the first night we were gone. It was the first and last night we did it. Of course, when we were trying to say goodbye, he started crying and it made it hard on us, and probably Spencer and Shani as well! What a terrible idea.

While we were gone, Spencer and Shani so graciously accepted to watch Tyler for us. He had a wonderful time. We sure appreciate their willingness to help us out! He got to go to the Jurassic Forest Park with them while we were gone. They have Animatronic Dinosaurs. He said it was very cool!

Here are a few pictures of the weekend:

    New Obsession

Tyler has recently become obsessed with riding his bike at the Skate Park in Mill Woods. He loves it. I don't mind going and watching the kids. They are pretty talented, and most of them are super nice to Tyler.

    My Good Looking Guys.

    A rare snuggle in bed.

    Favorite activity at Grandmas!

I turned to look at him in the car one day, and this is what I saw!

He had his friend Giselle from Dayhome over the other day. He sure likes her!!

Ashlyn from our complex. They play together almost daily.

    Writing On Stone

Every summer the Patrick's get together for about a week and do some camping. In the 7 years that we have been married, we have not participated in this. We both have our heavy work load in the summer, so we can never make it. This year, we decided it was time to just bite the bullet and join in. I am glad that we did. We had such a great time. We camped at Writing On Stone Provincial Park last week from Sunday to Thursday. It rained over night a couple of nights, but the weather during the day was fabulous. The kids loved the hoodoos, almost as much as the Dad's did!!

The 3 Musketeers - Tyler, Bridget and Beck. They played so well together the whole week!

On the Rock Art Tour, guided by my Aunt Becky. She did a fantastic job. I learned a lot and found it very interesting.

The first rattle snake I have ever seen at Writing on Stone.

Having some fun with Glow Sticks one night.

Water Fight! This was perfectly timed, as it was sooo hot that day. The little kids thought it was so hilarious to soak everybody, especially Bumpa.

    Tyler and Uncle Kori chillin'.

    Color Me Rad

I got to participate in my first 5K Run yesterday. It was a lot of fun! I was sad Mallory couldn't make it down to participate, but it was still a good time. I suggest that all the sisters in our family and Mom do it together next year! I didn't run the entire thing, and a lot of people walked the whole thing. It was more for the experience and the fun atmosphere. My mom and Dad came up for the weekend. It was a nice visit.

    Before:

    After:

I ran it with Ryan and Jacky Layton, Ryan's sister Natalie and her husband Travis, and Melanie Patterson and her fiance John Fairbanks.

    Four Years

Wow, I can't believe Tyler is already four! He has informed me that because he is 4, he can now:
-only ride his pedal bike, because 4 year old are fastest.
-wipe his own bum (no complaints here).
-go on the go carts with Dad (even though we pretended he was 4 last year).

He informs everyone he sees that he is now 4. Trevor spent the day with hom today and they went to the go carts, and did some mini golfing. Tyler had a great time.

We went tubing at the lake on Canada Day. That was really nice. Then we went over to Mill Woods park for some entertainment and the fireworks. It was a really good day.

    First Time Camper

Tyler had never been camping before, so Trevor decided to take him this weekend. I tagged along. We went down by Rocky Mountain House, and camped in a little secluded spot close to Ram Falls Park. It was a really nice relaxing weekend. The weather wasn't too hot, but it was still nice. We taught Tyler how to play Go Fish! He loved it. He had a great time camping, and was so excited and well behaved the whole time.
